In the Northern quarters of Marseille, Zaer introduces his new girlfriend, Lydia to his family; family full of contradictions which put a strain on the balance between tradition and reality. Saida, the mother, is an alcoholic; Tarek the father is extremely clear-headed; cousin Walid, depraved and benevolent; and Sam, the nervous little brother accompanied by his two friends, a black boy and a gypsy girl.
